i have such strange feelings about gen 4’s pokédex and specifically the new cross-generational evolutions it introduced. a lot of them feel unnecessary and slightly boring but harmless at best, some of them are active tragedies of wasted potential, but then there are a few shining exceptions where i’m like ‘wait, that evo WASN’T introduced in the same gen as the original one? they didn’t think to do that right off the bat?’ i’m looking at togekiss i cannot imagine a world in which togetot was ever conceived as the final stage in a line. like that is not a fully formed pokémon get out of here. thank you togekiss

had kind of a crazy brain blast today...

wanted to create my own cardboard vase templates for paper mache. Just sat around and thought about how I would manipulate the shapes in onshape (free CAD software). I'm sure there is a tutorial for this but I wanted to see if I could figure it out on my own... once I figured out that I had to circular array the silhouette in 3D space it was smooth sailing. Next steps will be taking the shapes I drew that make up each facet and copying them into a new sketch so I can play around with placement for the most efficient laser cutting.

#first image is from corriebethmakes on etsy #3d modeling #onshape #paper mache #my first thought is to basically make a long strip that becomes the middle piece #and then the top two facets are connected #and the bottom two are connected #hopefully that will make it a bit more stable when taping up #if not just split everything into it's own piece and tape them up

Ok my worst job so far besides mcdonalds is definitely still when I was working the pasta station in the like main campus eating area when I was in college. I saw someone on reddit talking about working in a similar kind of like "people line up and you make their food for them" situation and got flashbacks.

#Jesus christ once my glasses broke and I was keeping them together with tape for like 5 months and #when it would get too hot the adhesive on the tape would melt and my glasses would #fucking split apart at the middle #So standing over the fucking skillets would get scary and I would have to catch my glasses to keep them from #falling into peoples food.#I used to have nightmares about endless lines of people wanting pasta #I complain about my stupid job now because it does still suck and I do hate it but it is definitely like #the best one Ive had So Far #Mcdonalds without a doubt the worst I could never fucking do Mcdonalds again
